Laura M. Kolar lives with her husband and daughter in northern-lower Michigan. She is a self-declared hopeless romantic who has spent the past few years reading and writing stories with mostly happy endings. Her books include Crossing the Blue Line, Terah and Captive Art.

K.J. Stevens

Presenter: K.J. Stevens

K.J. Stevens is an American novelist and short story writer. He has written four books. Pilgrims Bay, his first novel, was released in 2007. Other works include A Better Place,Infidelity, Dead Bunnies, and Cutting Teeth. His writing has also appeared in The Adirondack Review, Fluid Magazine, Prose Ax, Temenos, and BloodLotus. Stevens and his wife, Brooke, and their two children, currently live in Alpena. He is working on his new book, tentatively titled Back Home.

Presenters: Anne Bastow Heraghty and Joe Bastow

 Anne Bastow Heraghty is a freelance writer. Her articles have appeared in a variety of trade publications, her poems in The Battered Suitcase, Alpena Fifty-Two and Love Notes. Joe Bastow is a writer and English Teacher. His work has appeared in The Real M, Curbside Review, Alpena Fifty-Two and Whispers of the Unseen. Together, the brother/sister team has published Splitting the Equator, a collection of essays and poems examining the unique perspectives of their shared experiences growing up in Alpena.

Gay Fry
Presenter: Gay Fry

 Gay Fry is a massage therapist for people and horses, a labor doula, and yoga teacher. She retired from a career as an international flight attendant to study healing modalities. Fry earned her holistic health designation and worked as a healing arts instructor in Solana Beach, California. Her book 111 Ways to Let Go of Painful Relationships is being appreciated around the world for its honesty and ability to speak to hearts and souls.She lives in her home town of Alpena.
