Free and open to the public. Goodwill donations to benefit the Library’s READ Adult Literacy Program.
Tom Ferguson attended his first Count Basie concert in 1958. He never fulfilled his teenage ambition of playing the third trombone in the Basie band, but he has spent a lifetime listening to that unique Basie sound in person, via recording, and in his mind’s ear.6
