We will be at the Alpena County Public Library beginning at 5:30 pm.

This event will also be livestreamed for folks unable to attend in person.

Candlelight Vigils are free and open to all community members to gather in support of survivors.

During the candlelight vigil, team members will share resources, information, poetry, and the nationwide “Remember My Name” list.

Remember My Name is a nationwide project that began in 1994 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) in partnership with Ms. Magazine to create a registry of names in an effort to increase awareness of deaths caused by domestic violence. Each year the project is open for individuals to submit the names of people of all genders and ages whose lives have been taken by domestic violence.
