National Good Neighbor Day!
September 30 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day. The library is celebrating Saturday, September 30th from 12:30pm-2pm! Stations will be set up in the Stillion room. Participants will receive a packet with a reader’s advisory, I <3 my neighbor pin, sheet of sticker dots, and an information sheet on Michigan nonvenomous snakes and why they make good neighbors. Participants can add the dots to a giant bingo sheet with activities they can complete to be a good neighbor. The bingo sheet will be up on September 28th and remain up by the desk downstairs for people to add through the month of October.
Station one: Watercolor/Alcohol Ink postcards- participants will create and take home a postcard that starts with “Hello” to give to one of their neighbors.
Station two: Good Neighbor Snake- participants will color a rock to be added to our Good Neighbor snake. The Good Neighbor snake will be displayed outside by our kid statue.
Station three: Coloring sheets provided by The Hopeful Neighborhood Project’ and crayons/colored pencils.
Station four: Crafting a I <3 my neighbor magnet that goes on the fridge.
