The Alpena County Library is hosting a pre-celebration for the upcoming 2024 solar eclipse on Saturday, April 6th from 10am-2pm. All ages are welcome to participate in the crafts, activities, and we will be handing out solar eclipse glasses throughout the day. *Until supplies last.

Safely take a look at the sun with our solar filtered telescope, make ‘galaxy’ slime, make your own ‘I saw the solar eclipse’ buttons and more!

Crafts and activities will be scattered throughout the library and outside.
