What is OverDrive?

 OverDrive is a digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, and other digital content.

How many titles can i check out at any given time?

 4 titles.

How many days do I get to keep titles I check out?

 Lending periods can vary depending on format.  An audio book has a lending period of 7 days, while an ebook can circulate for 14 days.

Can I return items early?

Adobe® eBooks can be returned using Adobe Digital Editions.
Kindle books can be returned using your Amazon Manage your Kindle section.
EPUB ebooks can be returned using OverDrive Media Console v2.3 (or newer) for Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone/iPad.

Can I Renew OverDrive titles?

 No. OverDrive Titles cannot be renewed and those checkout titles will be expired on your PC or device. But you can check them out again if they are available.

What file formats does OverDrive offer?

- For eBooks, it offers epub, pdf and Kindle format
- For eAudiobooks, it offers Windows Media Audio (WMA) or MP3

What do I need to be able to access OverDrive?

A valid Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library card.
(Note: Audiobooks can be downloaded at the library  using our download station on the first floor.)
