HOMEBOUND SERVICE
Are you homebound? We can bring the library to you! By partnering with the Senior Center, Alpena County Library can send material your way through the Meals on Wheels program. Call the library and ask about our homebound services. You will receive a survey to fill out in the mail. Send the survey back and find monthly curated library materials with your Meals on Wheels delivery! You will also gain access to our online resources!

BRAILLE AND TALKING BOOK LIBARY
The Braille and Talking Book Library (BTBL) lends audio and braille books to Michigan residents unable to comfortably read standard print materials due to a visual, physical, or reading disability.
The Library has a daily subscription to the: Alpena News, Detroit Free Press, Traverse City Record Eagle, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal. We also have a Sunday subscription to the N.Y. Times.
MOVIES/DVDS
The Library has over 1000 DVDs that are available for check out. You can check out 5 at at time and watch them for 7 days. If you are more interested in streaming movies, the Library has you covered! Check out the Kanopy service. If you enjoy watching movies with others, check out our Cinema Classics. We host a movie the first Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m.
Kanopy is a collection of streaming videos with a focus on classic, documentary, and independent film available instantly, with automatic returns and no late fees. Access using your library card.
Join the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library on the first Wednesday of the month for a cinema classic. Screenings of these beloved films of yesteryear begin January 4th at 5:00 pm. Some refreshments will be available while supplies last. These events are free and open to the public.
