The Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed library budget for the fiscal year January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024 at the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Library located at 211 N. First Avenue, Alpena, MI 49707 on December 20, 2023 at 4:00 PM. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget, including the proposed property tax millage rates, may be accessed on Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library website at www.alpenalibrary.org. The budget will be also available for public inspection at the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Library located at 211 N. First Avenue, Alpena, MI 49707 during business hours.
The Alpena County George N. Fletcher Library must hold a public hearing before the final adoption of the budget. Any interested person will be given the opportunity to be heard at the public hearing regarding the proposed budget.
The Alpena County George N. Fletcher Library will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services upon 3 days’ notice to the Board.
